walkingtoweb supports companies and the self-employed in using their data securely and on the go.

walkingtoweb exclusively operates its own infrastructure in a highly secured Swiss data center (24/7 surveillance, 7-level security system, access controls with biometric features). All data, including the backups, are stored only and exclusively in Switzerland.

No work on the servers and infrastructure is outsourced or performed by external service providers, we also rely on our own employees for customer support.

walkingtoweb complies with all data protection regulations of Switzerland and thus also with all data protection regulations applicable in the EU / DE / AT including the DSGvO. We have passed several compliance tests from customers in the fields of finance, medicine and public administration.

walkingtoweb has been a full RIPE member since 2018 with its own IP addresses.

We carry the swiss hosting label which the highest data security requirements are verified.

walkingtoweb acts climate-neutral in the sense of a sustainable energy industry. We use electricity from renewable energy with environmentally friendly Swiss hydropower.

All servers operated by walkingtoweb internally bear the name of a reservoir in Switzerland. This also shows our connection to sustainable energy use in hosting.
